Who we are

Botswana as a base for regional energy development.

Eagle Africa Energy Proprietary Limited was formed to originate, structure and sponsor energy, fuel-security and industrial infrastructure programmes across the Southern African Development Community.

The company

Incorporated for a specific purpose.

The company was established on 21 January 2026 and is headquartered in Gaborone. It was formed at a point when regional fuel security and industrial beneficiation had become national priorities across the SADC region, and positions Botswana as a base for sovereign-aligned energy development.

Eagle Africa Energy operates as a project development platform. Depending on the programme it acts as project sponsor, co-developer or strategic partner, and in each case brings together the technical, financial, legal and institutional capability required to move a programme from concept to a bankable, fundable project.

The model

Partner-led by design, not by necessity.

Rather than building every capability in-house, the company has assembled a curated network of specialist strategic partners — spanning engineering and construction, development and project finance, workforce training, capital markets advisory, fuel management technology and healthcare development.

That structure is what allows a small executive to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary programmes with the speed, technical depth and institutional credibility that sovereign counterparts and development finance institutions expect before they will engage seriously.

It also means the company’s recent incorporation is not the constraint it might appear. Its executive team and partners bring an established track record in petroleum logistics and supply chain operations, engineering and construction delivery, institutional and sovereign stakeholder engagement, and DFI-aligned programme structuring directly to each mandate.

Where the group operates

A footprint that already exists.

Through Eagle Distribution, the group holds a licensed South African operating base with distribution across Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and the Western Cape, construction capability nationwide, and cross-border operations into Eswatini, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. That footprint sits adjacent to twelve of Eskom’s fifteen coal-fired power stations.

Through Aiscorp International, the group’s fuel governance platforms operate across South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique.

Together these provide an immediate, de-risked platform for expansion into Botswana, Namibia and Zambia.
